Master Teacher - Perú
Fernando Ausin, Master Teacher

¡Hola amigos!  I hope you are all as excited as I am for this trip to Perú with the Rassias Language Programs.  This will be my sixth program teaching with the Rassias Programs: five summers in Spain and this is our first program in Perú.  I have been working with the Rassias Foundation for 15 years now and--as Professor John Rassias always says--every summer is my new favorite!

I am eager to learn more about each and every one of you, your interests, your passions, and how we can tailor our language learning experience this summer to meet your aspirations.  I want to share a little bit about me before we get started...

I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2006 with a degree in Latin American and Caribbean politics.  I was born in Mexico City and have been raised in both California and Guadalajara, Mexico.  I love traveling, and have been to over 30 countries around the world so far.  In college, I studied abroad on Semester at Sea and spent six months in Germany learning the German language and culture (thanks to the Rassias Method!)  Learning and teaching languages is definitely one of my favorite hobbies!

I currently help lead a sustainability education program across Mexico, promoting renewable energy and different ecological solutions to K-12 and college students (you can check out our website at www.biotu.org for more info.)  I am very excited to visit the enchanted land of Perú for the first time, and to share a bit about our rich Mexican culture also.  I hope you all are as eager to explore these parts of Perú as I am!

Fernando is understating his work for the environment.  See http://biotu.org/.  This is the organization Nando and his brother, Mingo established.  Their sister, Catalina, made the video and also works with them. It’s Nando’s 5th summer teaching for us.
