2011 Itinerary

This program runs 4 weeks from June 22 to July 22 and is subject to change.

Day 1: Depart from New York.

Day 2: Arrive Barcelona. Bus transfer to our lodging along the Costa Brava. Orientation starts.

Days 3 to 8: The Costa Brave and Barcelona.. Start morning language classes.

Day 9: To Zaragoza and then on to the Guggenheim museum

Day 10: to Gijón.... meet your family.

Days 11 to 27: The family stay in Gijón - morning language classes at the Club, afternoon sports at the Club or with families, weekends with families - see below for detailed Gijón schedule. Two days in a mountain lodge in Arriondas.

Days 28 and 29: Madrid

Day 30: Flight home

SOCCER OPTION

This is a 6 day (Sunday through Saturday) high level soccer camp...

Ths weeek-long session of the soccer camp runs from Sunday afternoon to the following Saturday afternoon. Soccer players start on the final Saturday of the homestay program.

Once at soccer camp, each evening, players return to their host families and then go back to soccer camp - both directions via the camp's bus.

Students intersted should be aspiring to their varsity teams. Also, at this time, only boys are accepted.... we're working on getting a girls' camp going there!!
